AirCraft Circus will be bringing the 2010 sell-out “Madame Pain’s Boudoir Circus” to Download Festival on 10th, 11th, and 12th June 2011. Created by Director Alex Frith, who has worked on a myriad of projects including “Lord of The Rings” and Franco Dragones’ ”House of The Dancing Water”.
Madame Pain is performed by seasoned professionals from AirCraft Circus in London.
Set in a traditional big top circus tent, the artists will be hanging from the roof, embedded in the set and poised to unfurl the story of Madame Pain before your eyes. Aerial acrobats emerge out of the dark, twisting, dropping and flipping into the space. An outrageous display from a cast of 30 swinging trapeze, pole dancing, fire eating, extreme sports and shocking sideshow acts with live music from Orangafruup and live DJ sets.
Madame Pain, aka Chrisalys is a show and brand in himself, recently seen performing with Alice Cooper in his “Halloween Night of Fear”. Chrisalys’ freak shows are both shocking and theatrical. This mix takes the real ‘pain’ act elements of the show to the mainstream with gasps and winces galore.
